A Historic Event

From Tuesday February 27 to Saturday March 3, 2007, dedicated WingTsun practitioners from all over gathered in Hungary to celebrate the 60th Birthday of Great Grandmaster Leung Ting. City WingTsun's own Sifu Alex Richter, Dan Hsiao, Mike Yahn, and Nicole Daniels were among the hundreds present for this special occasion.

The most memorable and special part of the trip was the opportunity to spend time with Hong Kong's most famous WingTsun masters— Grandmaster Cheng Chuen Fun, Greatmaster Leung Koon, Sifu Leung Kwok Wah, and of course Great Grandmaster Leung Ting and the rest of the Hong Kong team. What made the trip even more special was Sifu Maday Norbert's hospitality. His charisma and warm personality instantly made us all feel at home, despite being in a foreign land. We truly felt like we belonged to a great big WingTsun family.

The event also gave us the opportunity to bond with our fellow WingTsun members from North America, notably Sifu Carson Lau from Toronto, Canada and Sifu Will Parker from San Antonio, Texas. In addition to being highly skilled masters of WingTsun, they are both very personable and friendly.

Although we already miss all our new Hungarian and Hong Kong friends, we have some very amazing memories to keep with us until we meet again.
