Onofrio is a long time student of WingTsun. He began is training in Italy under Sifu Filippo Cuciuffo and continued under a number of instructors in the EWTO. A very busy career had always forced Onofrio to take a number of breaks from training WingTsun, but Onofrio persisted. In September 2009 Onofrio passed his primary level technician test under Grandmaster Leung Ting in New York. Onofrio is continuing his WingTsun training through private instruction with Sifu Alex Richter.
